The next generation of our flagship WorldTour bib shorts, re-engineered with lower weight, increased cooling breathability, and more comfortable, body-wrapping compression from waist to raw-cut leg openings. BEHIND THE PRODUCT The critical updates to the new EQUIPE RS shorts are a new textile and a new insert. The new textile, Type.911, allowed us to completely reengineer the cut, reducing the seam count and wrinkles while micro-adjusting fit across the legs and waist. It also let us eliminate the rollBar bib strap design, because Type.911 is more elastic and more compressive than the Type.441 used on the previous generation. Rather than merely suspended from bib straps, the S11 shorts envelope the rider’s body in omnidirectional, body-mapped stability. The new RS S11 insert’s top sheet is both softer against the body and more durable for washing, and it has an improved odor control treatment while maintaining its predecessor’s cooling airflow, micro-shock damping, and low-volume, lightweight profile. FEATURED FABRICS Type.911 is a new warp-knit textile composed for the SCHTRADIVARI. Its silky smooth, abrasion-resistant texture provides stabilizing compression in a deeper, fuller black than the previous model. It also dries quickly, preventing weight gained through lingering moisture, and is equipped with UPF 50+ protection and odor control. CONSTRUCTION/FIT Our racingFit is a second-skin, aerodynamic silhouette designed with WorldTour feedback and proven with WorldTour results. Compressive textiles, micro-adjusted shaping, and low-bulk, raw-cut hems and cuffs identify racingFit as the definitive speed series. ENGINEERING cranKio Tec: Reduces wrinkling across the front of the hips during the pedal stroke to eliminate movement and friction between the textile and the rider. INject leg gripper: Grip applied only across the back of the raw-cut leg opening, reducing friction and weight while protecting the gripping portion from sun damage. Soft compression Module: Provides body-enveloping, omnidirectional compression and stability with a waist construction that eliminates restriction in aggressive riding positions. RS S11 insert Mineral Tec Surface: A soft, ultrasmooth coversheet that reduces friction and irritation while promoting comfort with quick-drying properties and permanent odorControl. Shock-Absorb Damping System Mono 9: Compressive foam materials in a single-layer 9mm racing platform that minimizes volume and weight. Thermoformed shaping eliminates ridges and irritation. kraterCooler: An ultralight panel of perforated support at the front creates cooling airflow across the insert. whirlKrater: Perforations strategically distributed throughout the insert, creating a whirlwind of cooling airflow instead of just a unidirectional breeze. goldenGate 2.0: The insert is attached at front and rear with floating sides and center, letting it move with your body rather than against it. New cut-outs on wings reduce volume and friction throughout the pedal stroke. The GTO has two leg lengths: STANDARD and LONG (+3cm vs standard). BEHIND THE PRODUCT The absence of bib straps compounds the difficulty of dialing the perfect ride-tuned fit. To address that, we reimagined the waistband with a stabilizing elastic layer that anchors the fit and an additional top band of mesh that extends coverage, independent of the elastic band, for comfort, moisture management, and to eliminate gaps between shorts and jersey while in the saddle. The updated insert features increased ventilation, a reduced footprint, and a new Odor Control Top Sheet Tex in Sugar Blue.
