The Brompton Crankset 44T in Black is a replacement set with left and right-hand cranks, including chainring and chainguard, as found on post-2013 Brompton Bikes. A standard 3 or 6-speed Brompton comes with a 50-tooth front chain ring—changing to 44 teeth will reduce the gearing by approximately 12%. A standard 1—or 2-speed Brompton comes with a 54-tooth front chain ring. Changing to 44 teeth will reduce the gearing by approximately 19%. It's important to note that the Bottom bracket is NOT included with the Brompton Crankset 44 T in Black. If you're upgrading from the old fixed crankset, you'll also need to change the bottom bracket.
