Our customer service focused bicycle shop has been serving the Lower Mainland for over 90 years. With 4 busy locations and the season around the corner, we need to expand our team. If you are positive, outgoing and team oriented, we'd love to talk to you.

We serve all types of cyclists with a large selection of bicycles, parts, accessories and clothing. We offer a complete range of bicycle service and service packages performed by professional bike technicians. We also provide a positive environment for every type of cyclist, regardless of age, gender or cycling discipline.

BIKE MECHANIC

With a curated assortment of bikes and gear, a dedication to outstanding hospitality and a best in class team of positive and professional sales staff and technicians, we strive to get more people on bikes, more often.

By ensuring that your customers’ bikes are repaired and maintained to the highest standards, you can play your part in making every West Point Cycles customer’s cycling experience the best it can be!

The ideal candidate:

  • is passionate about bicycles and everything they do
  • is a positive influence on everyone around them
  • is a strong team player
  • is passionate about providing the highest level of customer service possible
  • has extremely high standards for precision mechanical work
  • has experience working on all braking systems including hydraulic systems
  • has experience in the installation and adjustment of bicycle shifting systems, cable and electronic
  • has a knowledge of bicycle parts compatibility
  • is able to communicate service advice in a positive, professional manner with service writers and sales staff
  • is able suggest clear solutions, in writing and verbally, with fellow staff and customers
  • is willing to work weekends
  • has 1+ years professional bicycle service experience

Day to day functions include:

  • Meticulous completion of bicycle service packages from minor to complete overhaul
  • Completing a la-carte bicycle repairs as per West Point service menu
  • Inputing work and notes into POS
  • Communicate with Service Writers on modifications to work orders
  • Final inspection and quality assurance of new bicycles before delivery

Compensation:

  • $22+ per hour based on experience and role
  • Assembler and Junior Tech roles with non or limited experience start at $18+ per hour
  • Extended health, dental and life benefits for full time employees
  • RRSP matching plan for full time employees
