BIKE MECHANIC

Day to day functions include:

  • Meticulous completion of bicycle service packages from minor to complete overhaul
  • Completing a la-carte bicycle repairs as per West Point service menu
  • Inputing work and notes into POS
  • Communicate with Service Writers on modifications to work orders
  • Final inspection and quality assurance of new bicycles before delivery

Compensation:

  • $22+ per hour based on experience and role
  • Assembler and Junior Tech roles with non or limited experience start at $18+ per hour
  • Extended health, dental and life benefits for full time employees
  • RRSP matching plan for full time employees

CUSTOMER SERVICE / SALES

Experience in bicycle retail or a high paced retail environment is an asset but not a requirement.The ideal candidate is:

FULFILLMENT ASSOCIATE

The fulfillment team performs all tasks required for the inventory management, online order fulfillment, and distribution of a multi-location bicycle retail store. They are also required to assist in a variety of customer service roles within the organization when called upon. The majority of this role requires receiving product into, and organized inventory transfers with our POS as well as processing and shipping online sales orders and returns. This role requires a high level of attention to detail, a valid driver’s license, as well as the ability to lift, sometimes heavy, awkward items.

The ideal candidate is positive, self-motivated, comfortable driving a cargo van, and able to take direction and complete tasks in a timely fashion. You must also be willing to work weekends.

Day to Day Functions:

  • Data entry and processing of incoming weekly orders
  • Fulfilling online customer orders
  • Processing warranty claims
  • Physical Inventory transfers between stores
  • Driving a company vehicle between locations daily

Requirements:

  • Ability to Lift 40-60 lbs. with assistance or alone when safe
  • Familiarity with MS Office environment - primarily Excel
  • Valid Canadian drivers license
  • Passion for bicycles and a familiarity with their operation
  • The ability to multitask and stay organized in a fast paced environment

Job Summary

As store manager, you are responsible for the customer experience, financial performance, staff organization and support as well as the physical appearance and operations of your store. You lead from the front, engaging customers and staff members alike and setting the tone of your store. Your leadership focuses the team on the goal of a strong financial result each year with high ratings from your customers.

Work Performed

Drive Financial Performance

  • Be a top sales performer and lead by example to achieve store revenue goals.
  • Work the sales floor daily, engaging with customers and team members to maximize sales.
  • Ensure world-class customer service that supports the financial success of the store.
  • Participate in budgeting, financial reviews, and other meetings to maintain business health

Develop & Lead A High-Performance Team

  • Organize and implement staff training on sales, merchandising, POS systems, and product knowledge.
  • Validate training through role-playing, secret shopper reviews, and direct observation.
  • Hold bi-weekly leadership meetings to track team performance and plan for success.

Merchandising & Store Operations

  • Contribute to store marketing and merchandising to create an inviting shopping experience.
  • Maintain product displays, organize inventory, and ensure a professional store layout.
  • Oversee store supplies and manage financial reporting tasks like QuickBooks exports.

Human Resources & Staffing

  • Participate in hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance management.
  • Support a positive team culture by providing feedback and handling HR responsibilities.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent
  • Minimum 2 years retail management experience in a sales-driven environment
  • Proven ability to drive sales, meet targets, and analyze financial performance.
  • Experience with budgeting, forecasting, and KPI tracking.
  • Experience coaching, training, and developing teams to achieve high performance.
  • Ability to provide feedback and lead staff meetings.
  • Experience in merchandising, inventory management, and store presentation.
  • Familiar with POS systems, analytics tools, and QuickBooks.
  • Strong verbal and written English skills.
  • Ability to multitask, manage priorities, and handle HR duties like hiring and scheduling.
